What this job involves:

We’re looking for a Facilities Manager to join our global tech client – Google

In this role, you will serve as the primary operational lead on the ground, spearheading a critical office expansion and relocation. You will be responsible for implementing operational and workplace experience processes, such as front-of-house services and maintenance—for the client team previously lacking dedicated on-site support.

Given the nature of these client sites, you will manage these operations within high-security compliance frameworks while ensuring a seamless, consistent service standard. Additionally, you will bridge regional operations by sourcing local vendors, and building stakeholder relationships, while working within established Australian and Global structures and processes.

A snapshot of the role:

Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders to implement strategies and projects that support operational success

Oversee vendor contracts to ensure professional delivery and value for money

Program management of facilities upgrade programs and support setting up of new client buildings

Preparing of monthly and quarterly management reports where required

Extensive experience in a large account/portfolio within a multinational environment

You will be a highly experienced professional responsible for delivering exceptional facilities management, proactively monitoring and improving all portfolio operational activities.

Understanding of local occupational health and safety requirements and best practices

Knowledge of critical facilities environment management and vendor management for specialised services

Understanding of basic  technical aspects of property (HVAC, fire protection, electrical, BMS)

Strong budget management and financial analysis skills

Minimum of 5 years relevant experience in facilities management or related field

You'll be passionate about ensuring state-of-the-art site operations for beautiful office spaces and effective in sourcing and managing high-performing vendors to support the operational vision.

A keen eye for detail, ability to think outside of the box and exceptional stakeholder management skills will be essential for your success.
