Job Description

As the Facilities Manager, ANZ – you will be part of the International Workplace Team, responsible for day-to-day workplace operations and facilities management for NBCUniversal’s offices in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Auckland. You will be reporting to the Director, International Facilities Operations in London but with day to day oversight to the Regional Facilities Manager (APAC). You will lead all facilities-related services and act as the site contact for the EHS (Environmental, Health & Safety) and BCCM (Business Continuity & Criss Management) teams. There is also the potential to support the Regional Facilities Manager with ad-hoc tasks across the APAC region, providing an opportunity for growth and development.

You will be responsible for managing daily operations across the regional sites and delivery of the relevant service streams to industry best practice standards. In collaboration with global teams, you will also support compliance with safety regulations and driving continuous improvement in workplace safety and sustainability. Also supporting with planning and implementation of business continuity, emergency response and crisis management response.

This role requires strong coordination, problem-solving, and people management skills, with a hands-on approach to ensure operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Manage daily operations of the ANZ offices ensuring efficient, safe, resilient and functional workplaces that are well maintained.Supervise office administration and vendor teams (both internal and 3rd party), ensuring the requirements of the business  and SLAs are met.Collaborate with internal departments on operational solutions, processes and reporting requirements, enhancing strong lines of communication and develop relationships with key stakeholders across sites.Lead local fit-outs, refurbishments and minor construction projects in collaboration with global teams.Oversee vendor management including procurement, contract administration and performance evaluation through regular supplier meetings.Own and manage budgets and cost efficiency for ANZ operations and report on KPIs. Identifying opportunities for cost savings without impacting the quality of service delivery.Manage relationships with landlords and property managers to ensure lease compliance and alignment with business requirements. Highlighting lease events to the GRE (Global Real Estate) team.

Cross-Functional & International Collaboration

Work with the international EHS team, as required, to support the implementation of company-standard safety programs and training (first aid, fire wardens, inductions, H&S documentation etc.).Liaise with the EHS team to facilitate the completion of general and fire risk assessments and communicate the need for any activity or event-specific risk assessments required. Maintain safety records and facilities documentation to support risk assessments.Coordinate with EHS on requirements for special events, site inspections, and emergency procedures.Lead cross-functional meetings and share feedback and requirements with the EHS and BCCM teams.Maintain contact lists, incident logs, and coordinate regular planned evacuations.Support cross-functional response efforts (with Security, HR, IT) during major incidents or disruptions, sharing local information with the wider Workplace team.Liaise with NBCU’s Global Security team to ensure local compliance with visitor management, access protocols and physical security.Support the Regional Facilities Manager, APAC, in delivering international real estate and workplace goals.Provide weekly ANZ Workplace summary reports.Share best practices and insights, leveraging prior experiences to improve operations, safety, and efficiency across our global teams.Ensure all office changes are communicated to and approved by the International Workplace Team.

Qualifications

Basic Requirements

Extensive and proven experience in facilities or workplace operations within a corporate, multi-site environment.Proven management experience across a range of services including catering, reception, security, cleaning, HVAC, M&E and general office maintenance.Experience of creating and developing stakeholder relationships at all levels. Delivering to the required specification, on time and to budget.Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage competing priorities across multiple sites.Experienced in supporting safety, compliance,emergency planning, business continuity and security protocols.Strong communication and project management skills.
