Job Title: Facilities Maintenance Technician

Job Description

We’re seeking a skilled Building Maintenance Technician to support the daily operations and upkeep of all building systems across a commercial property. This role is responsible for routine inspections, preventive maintenance, timely completion of work orders, and coordination with vendors to ensure mechanical, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, life safety, and security systems operate reliably. The technician will also maintain common areas, monitor lighting and irrigation systems, oversee elevator functionality, and keep vacant spaces clean and presentable. Strong communication with the property manager and consistent documentation of work performed are essential to success in this position.

Responsibilities

Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance for building systems.Complete work orders promptly.Coordinate with vendors to ensure reliable operation of all systems.Maintain common areas and monitor lighting and irrigation systems.Oversee elevator functionality and ensure vacant spaces are clean and presentable.Communicate effectively with the property manager and document all work performed.

Work Environment

This position involves maintaining two properties with a flexible schedule. Workdays are typically Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at two locations in Fort Worth and Euless, with additional opportunities to work alongside a lead engineer on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The role requires physical activity such as walking, standing, bending, climbing, and lifting/moving 40-50 pounds. Must be able to work from 7am-4pm

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fort Worth, TX.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $49.60/hr.
