**Job Title: Facilities Maintenance Technician** **Job Description** As a Facilities Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of building systems through a variety of maintenance tasks. Your role will involve performing minor electrical and plumbing maintenance, as well as other general repair duties. **Responsibilities** + Perform daily walkthroughs of hospital grounds to identify functional systems and detect malfunctions or needed repairs. + Conduct minor electrical maintenance, including replacing lightbulbs and removing/installing general light fixtures. + Execute minor plumbing maintenance such as repairing leaks in drains and faucets, unclogging drains, and replacing drain hoses. + Complete other minor tasks including adjusting doors and fitting locks and handles. + Reconfigure, install, and reposition office furniture and spaces to maximize office space, using various hand tools. + Order parts and maintain required documentation. + Perform other work-related duties as assigned. **Essential Skills** + Experience with maintenance repair, facilities maintenance, and preventive maintenance. + Proficiency in using hand tools for building maintenance tasks. + 1-2 years experience as a maintenance helper. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience in a hospital facility environment is advantageous. + Familiarity with handyman tasks and facility maintenance. **Why Work Here?** This position offers a contract-to-hire opportunity, providing stability and growth potential within a supportive work environment. **Work Environment** The role is based in a facility that treats mental health conditions.
