Facilities Maintenance Technician
**Hiring a Facilities Maintenance Tech in Fremont! Pays up to $30/hr!** Job Description As a Maintenance Mechanic, you will perform regular preventive maintenance on production equipment and tooling, troubleshoot issues, and provide unscheduled repairs. You will be on-call for emergency repairs essential for continued production and will adhere to safety procedures in all plant activities. You will also assist in monitoring and guiding maintenance and repair work performed by external contractors. Responsibilities + Perform regular preventive maintenance on production equipment and tooling. + Troubleshoot and provide unscheduled repairs of production equipment. + Provide on-call support for emergency repairs essential for continued production. + Adhere to safety procedures for all plant activities relating to the operation of production equipment. + Assist in monitoring and guiding maintenance and repair work performed by outside contractors. + Attend necessary training seminars and hands-on training to increase knowledge and understanding of equipment repair and maintenance. + Initiate, complete, and properly document service requests and work orders using the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS). + Collaborate with Operations, Quality, and Engineering on continuous improvement projects. + Perform typical maintenance tasks to support the production floor and the entire facility. + Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and perform scheduled maintenance repairs during machine service. + Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service. + Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test, and make adjustments. + Perform a variety of plumbing maintenance and carpentry functions. + Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment in performing duties. + Perform prescribed preventative maintenance on machinery and the building or grounds as required. Essential Skills + High level of mechanical aptitude. + Ability to read and interpret specifications, blueprints, schematics, work instructions, and equipment manuals. + Ability to maintain regular, predictable, and punctual attendance. + Experience with the use of hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment. + Experience with installation, maintenance, and repair of equipment/machines with computer interfaces. + Strong problem-solving skills, detail-oriented and thorough. + Ability to communicate and interact effectively with all levels of management and personnel. + Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook). Additional Skills & Qualifications + Simple machinist skills, at a minimum. + Adaptability to a fast-paced environment with the ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities. + Strong data-based decision-making skills with the ability to plan and prioritize tasks. + Knowledge of CMMS software applications is a plus. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Fremont, California. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $30.00/hr.
