Job Title: Maintenance Technician
Job Description

As a Maintenance Technician, you will perform routine and preventative maintenance to preserve the physical integrity of our communities. Your role will involve conducting home and maintenance repairs, ensuring the cleanliness and upkeep of community grounds, facilities, streets, equipment, and various utility systems. Providing excellent customer service to prospective and current residents is a key component of this position.

ResponsibilitiesEnsure the community is presentable and inviting, adhering to curb appeal standards.Manicure common area lawns, treat for weeds, remove leaves, maintain ornamental landscaping, trim shrubs and hedges, and perform other necessary lawn care services.Keep streets and common areas clear of debris.Complete minor repairs to rental homes and facilities as needed.Maintain facilities such as the clubhouse, community offices, and maintenance garages.Keep vacant sites clear, safe, neat, and clean at all times.Complete checklists of the physical condition of the community or sites before and after resident occupancy.Assist the manager with supervision of service contractors and organizing Capital Improvement needs.Regularly inspect playground areas and recreational amenities for proper operation.Remove snow from community streets, parking lots, building entrances, inventory-ready homes, and other areas as applicable.Perform water testing and maintenance duties related to a well-water system, sewer system, or on-site water meters, including reading, repairing, and installing water meters.Follow safety procedures, including safely operating vehicles and picking up supplies.Other duties and special projects as assigned.Essential SkillsDemonstrated knowledge of and broad experience in general maintenance techniques and repair work.Ability to endure seasonal temperatures due to constant outdoor work.Possess a valid driver's license.General knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and grounds maintenance.Proficient skills in operating hand tools, power equipment, and commercial machinery.Ability to lift at least 50 pounds.Ability to provide legible written reports.Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.Availability to respond to community needs during non-business hours (on-call may be required).Additional Skills & QualificationsFacilities maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, electrical, HVAC, mechanical experience.Experience in preventative maintenance, mechanical/electrical tasks, building maintenance, basic carpentry, and handyman tasks.Maintenance experience: 2 years preferred.Mechanical knowledge: 1 year preferred.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

Work both inside and outside in a mobile home community. Responsible for maintaining community-owned homes and those with renters. Comfortable working outdoors in all seasons is essential. Standard working hours are Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5 pm, with overtime as needed. Repair calls can occur at any time.

This is a Permanent position based out of Crystal Lake, Illinois.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35360.00 - $41600.00/yr.
