Job Description
The Senior Facilities Technician is responsible for evaluating and managing work projects, ensuring the safety and maintenance of facilities, and overseeing contracted services. This role requires a proactive approach to facility management, with a focus on safety, quality, and efficiency.
ResponsibilitiesEvaluate assigned work projects, including assessing materials and staff resources needed.Estimate time, materials, and equipment necessary for successful project completion.Acquire necessary resources for project execution.Inspect facilities and grounds for safety and security, identifying and reporting hazardous conditions.Maintain and manage electromechanical and facility maintenance needs.Provide recommendations and oversee contracted services to ensure compliance and quality.Conduct electrical systems conduit runs, including light and power circuits, motors, control equipment, light fixtures, and panels.Understand and follow safety procedures, maintenance instructions, manuals, blueprints, electrical schematics, and assembly diagrams.Ensure the safe usage and disposal of hazardous materials according to safety procedures and Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS).Adhere to all safety policies and procedures.Perform other responsibilities as assigned.Essential Skills5-7 years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial background.High School Diploma required.Ability to read and communicate effectively in English.Proficiency in recognizing and solving typical problems using established procedures.Experience in working within a team environment.Adaptability to changes in work requirements.Excellent customer service skills.Additional Skills & QualificationsHvac, Facilities maintenance, Maintenance technician experience.Journeyman level proficiency in monitoring and maintaining utilities and process equipment.Skills in welding and pneumatics.BA/BS required if intending to pursue leadership roles.Why Work Here?

Work Environment
Work the 2nd shift, Monday to Friday, from 1:00pm to 9:30pm, with optional overtime up to 10% per year. The manufacturing environment may occasionally be loud, requiring safety glasses and steel toe shoes, which are provided on the first day. This role is a temporary-to-hire position over 90 working days, with tenure being highly valued. Attendance is critical in this role.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Simi Valley, California.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $31.00 - $38.00/hr.
