Facilities Maintenance Technician
**Job Title: Facilities Maintenance Technician** **Job Description** The Facilities Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring that facilities are safe, reliable, and well-kept through a combination of skilled and semi-skilled work in plumbing, carpentry, electrical, painting, and general maintenance. The role focuses on preventive and reactive maintenance, customer service, and fostering teamwork. **Responsibilities** + Perform general and preventive maintenance on building systems and equipment. + Inspect buildings and grounds for necessary repairs. + Read and interpret blueprints and manuals accurately. + Complete work orders and maintain detailed maintenance records. + Respond promptly to facility emergencies and participate in safety drills. + Maintain tools and workspace in an organized manner. + Conduct plumbing tasks such as repairing fixtures, cleaning drains, and replacing washers, gaskets, and valves. + Execute carpentry tasks including patching drywall, repairing doors and locks, and replacing ceiling tiles. + Prepare surfaces for painting, match colors, and perform touch-ups. + Service mechanical systems by replacing filters and maintaining equipment. **Essential Skills** + Proficiency in electrical and plumbing work. + Expertise in carpentry and HVAC systems. + Strong troubleshooting and repair skills. + Competence in hydraulics and pneumatics. + Ability to perform mechanical repairs and wiring tasks. + Experience in facilities maintenance and general maintenance technician duties. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Capability to read and interpret blueprints and manuals. + Experience with painting and surface preparation. + Skill in customer service and teamwork. **Work Environment** The Facilities Maintenance Technician will work in a dynamic environment that requires both indoor and outdoor activities. The role involves using various tools and equipment essential for maintenance tasks.
