Position Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking individual to join our team as an Entry-Level Facilities and Grounds Maintenance Technician. This role is responsible for assisting in the upkeep, cleanliness, and functionality of our buildings and outdoor grounds. The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and willing to learn a variety of maintenance tasks.

Key Responsibilities:Facilities Maintenance:Perform basic repairs such as replacing light bulbs, unclogging drains, and patching walls.Assist with routine inspections of HVAC systems, plumbing, and electrical fixtures.Support janitorial tasks including sweeping, mopping, trash removal, and restocking supplies.Help set up and break down furniture and equipment for meetings or events.Report safety hazards or maintenance issues to supervisors promptly.Grounds Maintenance:Mow lawns, trim hedges, and maintain flower beds and landscaping.Remove litter, debris, and snow/ice from walkways and parking areas.Operate basic landscaping equipment such as leaf blowers, weed trimmers, and push mowers.Water plants and monitor irrigation systems.Assist with seasonal tasks such as mulching, planting, and leaf removal.Qualifications:High school diploma or GED preferred.Desire to learn facilities maintenance and to grow as a person.Hard working and a good attituded is a must!Basic knowledge of hand tools and power equipment is a plus.Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team.Physical stamina to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for long periods, and work outdoors in various weather conditions.Valid driver’s license may be required depending on site location.Work Environment:Indoor and outdoor settings including office buildings, grounds, and maintenance areas.Exposure to weather elements, cleaning chemicals, and minor hazards (with proper safety gear provided).

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
