The Facilities & Maintenance Floor Supervisor is responsible for overseeing custodial and general maintenance operations across Legends-managed areas at Rogers Centre. This role provides direct supervision, coordination, and direction to maintenance staff to ensure facilities are clean, safe, functional, and event-ready at all times. Working closely with the Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance Supervisor supports operational planning, staff performance, and compliance with safety and facility standards while contributing to a positive guest and employee experience.

The RoleDuties & ResponsibilitiesSupervise custodial and maintenance staff to ensure assigned areas are cleaned, maintained, and prepared according to event and operational schedules.Plan, coordinate, and assign daily maintenance and custodial activities to maximize effective use of labour and resources.Monitor work quality, productivity, and adherence to safety and operational standards.Ensure staff follow all company policies, procedures, and safety requirements, including WHMIS and proper use of cleaning products and equipment.Review and verify completion of required documentation, checklists, and reports submitted by staff.Track work activity, maintenance data, and operational metrics using computer-based systems.Support training, onboarding, and ongoing coaching of maintenance staff to reinforce standards, safe work practices, and performance expectations.Identify opportunities for improved procedures, safety practices, and operational efficiency and collaborate with management on implementation.Respond professionally to guest, client, or internal inquiries related to maintenance or cleanliness concerns.Support event operations by ensuring rapid response to spills, hazards, or urgent maintenance needs.Perform additional supervisory and administrative duties as assigned by the Maintenance Manager.

Skills & AbilitiesStrong supervisory and leadership skills in a fast-paced, operational environment.Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities with the capacity to manage multiple priorities.Ability to resolve employee or guest concerns calmly, professionally, and fairly.Strong communication skills for directing staff and collaborating with management.Ability to work both as a team leader and as an individual contributor when required.Comfort using computers and basic office systems for tracking work and reporting.

Knowledge, Education, & ExperiencePrevious supervisory experience in custodial, maintenance, facilities, or hospitality operations.WHMIS certification required (or willingness to obtain).Understanding of safe work practices, cleaning standards, and facility maintenance procedures.Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards is an asset.Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays based on event schedules.

Physical DemandsOn feet for the majority of the shift with extensive walking throughout the facility.Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, and lifting during inspections and supervision.Ability to lift, push, or carry moderate to heavy loads as required for supervisory oversight.Frequent speaking, hearing, and visual monitoring of staff and work areas to ensure safety and quality.
