Job Title: Facilities Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Facilities Engineer with a mechanical engineering aptitude. This role involves ensuring that production environments meet all regulatory, mechanical, and engineering requirements.

Responsibilities

Lead capital projects for production, cleanrooms, shielded lab spaces, contamination-controlled areas, and GMP-style upgrades.Be responsible facility upgrades, modernization, and preventative maintenanceOversee HVAC, vacuum, compressed air, and thermal control systems.Support mechanical systems installation.Ensure alignment with safety protocols, medical standards, environmental and radiation compliance.Support design, renovation, and maintenance of cleanrooms, hot cells, and production suites.Conduct onsite inspections and ensure contractor compliance.Support target processing equipment, shielded handling systems, and mechanical interface troubleshooting.

Essential Skills

Facilities mechanical support experience.Experience with leading changes with HVAC systems (compressed air, filtration, water purification, etc.)Familiarity with clean room environments/working in an environmentally controlled space

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience owning projects and performing facilities gap analysis.Knowledge of building management systems

Work Environment

This position requires working on-site five days a week. The role involves collaboration in a dynamic environment where innovative production technology is at the forefront of medical advancements.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Ottawa, ON.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $65.00/hr.
