Facilities Engineer
Our client, a **global leader in aerospace and defense manufacturing** , is seeking a **Lead Facilities Engineer** to join their Engineering group in **Northwest Indiana** . This is a **high-priority, confidential search** where you’ll play a critical role upgrading a legacy facility that supports some of the most exciting industries on the planet — from aerospace to space exploration. This role is ideal for an engineer with **reliability, facilities, and CapEx project experience** who’s ready to be hands-on, lead critical projects, and keep a large-scale facility running at peak performance. **Lead Facilities Engineer – CapEx Projects** **Location:** Northwest Indiana **Compensation:** $110K–$140K+ base (flexible) + 10% bonus + 9% 401k contributions **Relocation:** Comprehensive package (pack/unpack, shipping, sign-on bonus, expenses, and more) **Schedule:** Reliable 45–50 hour weeks with strong team support **What’s the Job?** + Lead **capital improvement projects** , facility upgrades, and equipment installations + Manage building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, compressed air, fire protection) + Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, ITAR, and facility safety standards + Develop preventive maintenance schedules and drive sustainability/energy initiatives + Review CAD layouts, coordinate contractors, and keep projects on-time and within scope + Collaborate with production, safety, and quality teams to support facility operations **What’s Needed?** + Bachelor’s in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering + 5+ years of facilities engineering, capital projects, and building systems experience + Strong knowledge of facility codes, safety regulations, and project management tools + CAD experience and familiarity with technical/engineering operations + U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder (due to ITAR requirements) **Why This Role?** + Own **high-impact capital projects** with real visibility + Join a team with **best-in-class benefits** starting day one + Work with a **global aerospace leader** driving sustainability and innovation + Comprehensive relocation support + Long-term runway for growth and leadership 📩 Interested?
