Job Description
Join a leading global distributor of specialty metals, where your expertise in facilities management will ensure the smooth and efficient operation of plant equipment and facilities. We stock and process tube, pipe, bar, extrusions, sheet, and plate in stainless, aluminum, nickel, titanium, carbon, and alloy.
ResponsibilitiesManage, install, troubleshoot, and repair complex equipment with minimal supervision.Ensure all production and facility equipment functions optimally.Dismantle, re-install, and assemble machinery and plant equipment.Coordinate activities with other departments to ensure efficient operations.Diagnose production equipment failures and manage repairs.Source and schedule vendors for equipment repair and reassembly.Conduct routine preventative maintenance tasks.Maintain equipment PM schedule and log maintenance activities.Manage routine building maintenance and repairs, including generators, air handling units, heating and cooling equipment, and plumbing.Record maintenance data to track proper maintenance of facilities equipment.Utilize and interpret equipment manuals for proper operation and maintenance.Generate purchase requisitions as necessary.Essential SkillsSeven to ten years of experience in maintenance or facilities management.Familiarity with warehousing operations and OSHA regulations.Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating, maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.Proficiency in basic mathematics.Competence in Microsoft Office software.Excellent communication skills.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with maintenance technician tasks, repair, mechanical systems, pneumatics, preventive maintenance, welding, schematics, and blueprints.Trainable on vendor scheduling, part sourcing, and purchasing if not already experienced.Why Work Here?

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $38.47/hr.
