Our client, a leading logistics and facilities management organization, is seeking a Facilities Assistant to join their team. As a Facilities Assistant, you will be part of the Maintenance Department supporting operational excellence and facility upkeep. The ideal candidate will demonstrate reliability, technical aptitude, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization. **Job Title:** Facilities Assistant **Location:** Memphis, Tennessee **Duration:** 2+ Month contract with possibility of extension **Shift:** Mon-Fri 4pm-12:30am **What's the Job?** + Perform maintenance and repair duties on conveyor systems and associated equipment including printers, strappers, lidders, and power tools as directed by the Facility Manager & Lead. + Support weather response efforts and assist in troubleshooting conveyor electronics to ensure smooth operations. + Conduct preventive maintenance on dock doors, levelers, and dock locks to maintain safety and efficiency. + Assist with facilities inspections, light electrical and plumbing tasks, and operate power equipment for setup and operational support. + Inspect freezers and coolers daily, report findings, and support testing procedures and external vendor interactions. **What's Needed?** + Any mechanical skills or experience with facility maintenance are preferred. + Ability to perform light electrical and plumbing tasks as directed. + Comfort operating power equipment and performing inspections. + Reliable transportation to be onsite Monday through Friday, 4 pm to 12:30 am. + Willingness to support 24/7 on-call responsibilities and weather response activities. **What's in it for me?** + Opportunity to gain cross-training from experienced facilities technicians. + Engage in meaningful work supporting essential logistics operations. + Work in a dynamic environment with a dedicated team. + Potential for role extension based on performance and organizational needs. + Be part of a company committed to safety, reliability, and operational excellence.
