**Job Title: Fabricator** **Job Description** We are seeking a versatile Shop Helper who can assist in various tasks such as moving materials, fabricating metal, cutting metal, and operating equipment like lasers, brake press, and saws. You will primarily start with work on the saw and need to be flexible in your role. **Responsibilities** + Operate and monitor equipment to ensure quality control of items produced, including cut quality and hole quality. + Investigate machine settings and nesting techniques to enhance quality, machine performance, and throughput. + Assist programmers in creating Python laser programs and other equipment programs for production, including .DXF files for individual parts and nesting full sheets. + Identify various shapes and materials, including sheet, plate, channel, tube, flat bar, and differentiate between mild steel and stainless steel. + Provide backup support to fabricators operating Brake Press, Shear, and other machinery. + Occasionally reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl as required. **Essential Skills** + Proficiency in fabrication and CNC operations. + Experience with laser, brake press machines, and sheet metal fabrication. **Why Work Here?** Enjoy working in a super nice and clean facility that fosters a team atmosphere. **Work Environment** The work environment is characterized by a clean and well-maintained facility located in Norwood, MN, promoting a collaborative team spirit. **Job Type & Location** This is a Permanent position based out of Norwood Young America, MN. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $50000.00 - $70000.00/yr.
