**Welder / Fabricator** **Location:** Clackamas, OR **Pay Range:** $24–$30 per hour **Position Overview** We are looking for an experienced **Fabricator** to join our team. This role focuses on the precise assembly and installation of structural components for industrial furnaces. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical skills, proficiency in MIG welding, and the ability to interpret blueprints and electrical schematics. **Key Responsibilities** + Assemble and install structural components for industrial furnaces. + Lay refractory brick to insulate furnace interiors using masonry tools and mortar. + Drill and modify brickwork to accommodate heater elements, wiring, and instrumentation. + Perform MIG welding on metal structures. + Install and wire heater elements, gauges, motors, and control systems per schematics. + Attach door mechanisms, heater guards, and other components using power tools. + Test completed units for functionality and make necessary adjustments. + Apply specified coatings using a paint sprayer. **Core Skills** + Proficiency in MIG welding. + Ability to read and interpret blueprints and electrical schematics. + Strong mechanical aptitude. + Experience in pipe welding. + Skilled in fabrication using shear, press brake, and drill press operations. **Preferred Qualifications** + Experience with ceramic and masonry work. + Bricklaying and insulation expertise. + Familiarity with shearing and press brake operations. **Why Join Us?** + Work in a dynamic, custom fabrication shop specializing in industrial furnace builds. + Enjoy **100% employer-paid medical, dental, and vision coverage** . + Benefit from **6 paid holidays** , **80 hours of sick time** , and a vacation package that grows from **40 hours in year one to 80 hours in year two** . + Participate in our **401(k) plan** and **profit-sharing program** . **Work Environment** Join a smaller, full-production shop where every project is custom-built.
