As a Fabricator, you will independently perform complex welding assignments, ensuring adherence to all relevant OSHA, safety policies, and procedures. You will also be responsible for setting up and operating a variety of welding equipment and tools, as well as applying shop mathematics to plan and layout work.
ResponsibilitiesKnow and apply all relevant OSHA, safety policies, procedures, and practices.Perform complex welding assignments independently.Set up and operate welding equipment for various assignments.Apply practical shop mathematics for layouts and planning work.Set up and operate oxyacetylene torch and plasma cutter for tasks.Layout large, critical, and complex fitting and welding assignments.Perform quality checks during fabrication using visual inspections and measurements.Operate a variety of powered and non-powered tools required for tasks.Drive and operate trucks, forklifts, and boom lifts after training and authorization.Actively communicate with co-workers and supervisors for understanding and problem-solving.Cross-train in different aspects of the business/shop.Essential SkillsExperience in steel fabrication, shear/brake press, and iron work.Proficiency in MIG welding and ability to read blueprints.2+ years of fabrication experience or a 2-year technical degree in welding.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with a variety of powered and hand-held tools.Ability to perform practical application of shop mathematics.Teamwork and problem-solving skills.Why Work Here?The company is known for its strong core values, having never laid off employees and consistently striving to keep their workforce stable. Work EnvironmentThe work environment is set on a residential land with a house for office employees and three separate buildings for fabrication, painting, and receiving. The team consists of fewer than 50 people, with 8-9 fabricators at full staff. Expect a hands-on manager and a collaborative atmosphere where tasks vary throughout the day. The company produces custom work, and shifts typically run from 7 AM to 4 PM, with adjustments during hot weather.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
