Grind, deburr, and polish metals and plastics using hand, electric, and pneumatic powered tools to achieve finishes specified by work orders, blueprints, or drawings.
ResponsibilitiesFollow processes as defined in the procedures manual.Determine finish requirements from work orders and drawings.Perform physical inventory as directed.Inform supervisor of project/work status and any issues encountered.Maintain a neat, clean, and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency.Perform other duties as assigned.Multitask in a dynamic fast-paced environment.Complete required paperwork and checklists.Observe all safety rules, including wearing PPE as required.Clean and perform preventative maintenance on tools and general shop equipment.Possess good communication and interpersonal skills.Observe and report visible defects.
Essential SkillsProficiency in fabrication and production processes.Experience with grinding and hand tools.Ability to utilize precision measurement tools such as calipers, gauges, micrometers, and tape measures.Operate power grinders and buffers.Polish and smooth metal parts.
Additional Skills & QualificationsIdentify different materials, finishes, and grades.Polish to a #8 or better finish.Identify visible defects.Follow directions and work well without direct supervision.Operate material handling equipment safely.Commitment to attendance.

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
