Fabrication Machinist
Immediately Interviewing/Hiring a Highly Skilled Fabrication Machinist for 1st Shift at a Manufacturer Chester County. Offering $30-$40/hr. Apply Today!

Will work alongside a tenured team of machinists for at least a 4 month contract period. The hours are Monday to Friday, 8 am to 4 pm. Casual dress code that requires steel toe boots. Smaller machine shop. The facility is not climate controlled, but comfortable.

ResponsibilitiesSelect, align, and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials on machines.Calculate and set controls for machining factors like speed, feed, coolant flow, and depth/angle of cut.Start and observe machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining and adjust controls as needed.Verify conformance of finished workpieces using precision measuring instruments.Set up and operate Manual and CNC machines on trial runs to verify accuracy of settings or programmed control data.Fit and assemble parts into complete assemblies using jigs, fixtures, surface plates/tables, and tools.Verify dimensions and alignment using micrometers, height gauges, and gauge blocks.Install machined replacement parts in equipment and test for functionality.Develop specifications from general descriptions and sketch parts/products to be fabricated.Collaborate with engineers and production personnel to resolve machining or assembly issues.Essential SkillsProficiency in Manual and CNC machinery including mills, lathes, jig borers, grinders, and shapers.Strong knowledge of machining techniques, materials, and tooling.Ability to calculate and input machine control parameters.Familiarity with G-code and M-code for CNC programming.Experience with trial runs and machine adjustments.Skilled in precision measuring tools.Mechanical aptitude for fitting and assembling components.Ability to interpret technical drawings.Knowledge of fabrication processes.Effective problem-solving and communication skills.Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.Additional Skills & QualificationsHigh School Diploma or GED required; Technical/Vocational Training preferred.3–5 years of hands-on experience with CNC machine setup and operation. Manual machining is a plus.Experience with tool changes, offsets, and precision measuring instruments.Experience in medical device manufacturing is a plus, but not required.Why Work Here?

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr.
