Job Description
As a Shop Helper, you will engage in MIG/TIG welding on elevator casings, operate spot welders, punch press and press brake machines. In this role the company will be offering training opportunities to help you enhance your welding and skilled trades knowledge.
Responsibilities
Perform MIG/TIG welding on elevator casings.Operate spot welders efficiently.Manage and troubleshoot the punch press and press brake.Handle grinding and metal finishing tasks as required.Assist in building crates and fabricating products.Engage in cross-training opportunities to enhance skills in welding and other operations.Essential Skills
Trade School grad or current student 1+ year of experience in sheet metal manufacturing.Willingness to learn and a great attitude are essential for candidates with no prior experience.Additional Skills & Qualifications
Proficiency in grinding, shearing, punch press, welding, spot welding, and press brake operations.Experience with sheet metal, welding, fabrication, and metal finishing.Company Benefits

Work in a large, clean, and organized fabrication shop that operates Monday to Friday, from 6 AM to 2:30 PM. The facility includes brake presses, turret/laser stations, welding areas, assembly lines, and painting sections, all designed to fabricate custom elevator cabs for clients nationwide.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Permanent position based out of Minneapolis, MN.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr.
