Fabrication Associate – Fire Suppression SystemsWhy You’ll Love This Role

This is your chance to build real-world fabrication skills in a fast-paced shop that produces fire sprinkler and suppression systems from the ground up. Pipe comes in raw — and your team cuts it, fabricates it, assembles it, and ships it out to job sites across the country.

If you’re hands-on, mechanically inclined, and ready to learn, this role offers long-term potential and cross-training across the entire fabrication shop.

Schedule: Monday–Friday | 5:30 AM – 3:00 PM
Pay: $20.00/HR.

Assignment Type: 6-Month Temp with strong potential to convert to Full-Time

Overtime: Saturdays as needed

What You’ll Be Doing

Fabricate pipe and sheet metal components used in fire suppression systems

Measure, cut, thread, groove, bevel, bundle, and assemble pipe orders

Operate shop equipment including band saws, grooving machines, Landis machines, and forklifts

Read tape measures accurately and perform basic math calculations

Move loose and bundled pipe throughout the shop and pipe yard

Follow all shop SOPs, safety guidelines, and OSHA requirements

Assist with general labor, machine operation, die checks, bundling, and material prep

Maintain organized work areas and inspect equipment for safe operation

Cross-train and support multiple areas of the fabrication shop

What We’re Looking For

Required:

Minimum 6 months of recent industrial or manufacturing experience

Experience operating machinery (saws required; universal welder a plus)

Ability to accurately read and use a tape measure

Basic math skills

Comfortable lifting up to 50 lbs.

Willingness to work hands-on with pipe and sheet metal all day

Strong work ethic, reliability, and team-first mindset

Flexibility to learn multiple shop functions

Nice to Have (Not Required):

Fabrication or mechanical background

Experience with grooving machines or universal welders

Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from welding or fabrication school

This is a non-welding role, but great exposure for those entering the trade.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required

Good verbal and written communication skills

Ability to work independently and in a team environment

Forklift experience (assessment required – training provided if needed)

Safety-minded and detail-oriented

Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

Important Details

Shift: 1st Shift | 5:30 AM – 3:00 PM

Hours: 45 hours/week + additional OT available

Environment: Industrial manufacturing / fabrication shop

Training: On-site training provided for equipment and safety procedures

Pay Details: $20.00 per hour
