FA Capacity Planning, re:Cycle Reverse Logistics
Amazon.com
Amazon is scaling a fast-growing business aimed at transforming the reverse logistics industry for electronic hardware. We're making our electronics processing, reuse, and recycling company available to more customers — and we're looking for an experienced Supply Planner to optimize our production operations and drive efficiency across our processing facilities.
re:Cycle Reverse Logistics is an electronics processing, reuse, and recycling company that works to extend the life of used electronic equipment with a specialization in the handling of valuable electronic hardware used in data centers. We are a stand-alone company within the Amazon corporate family that provides services to other Amazon companies and are looking for a talented, analytical, and operationally-focused Supply Planner to develop and execute production planning strategies that maximize throughput, minimize bottlenecks, and ensure optimal parts availability. You'll work closely with Operations, Product Management, and cross-functional teams to forecast demand, balance capacity constraints, and implement data-driven solutions that enhance our processing capabilities. We're looking for someone excited about building efficient systems from the ground up, with experience in production planning, inventory optimization, and operational excellence.
Key job responsibilities
• Developing and maintaining production plans that optimize processing capacity across multiple facilities and product lines
• Partnering with operations teams to identify efficiency opportunities and implement process improvements that increase throughput
• Analyzing demand patterns and inventory levels to ensure optimal parts availability while minimizing excess stock
• Creating forecasting models that balance inbound material flows with downstream processing capabilities
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to resolve capacity constraints and production bottlenecks
• Establishing key performance metrics to track production efficiency, cycle times, and parts availability
• Implementing planning systems and tools that enable real-time visibility into production status and material flows
• Managing the balance between repair, refurbishment, and recycling streams to maximize value recovery
• Driving continuous improvement initiatives that reduce processing costs and improve operational performance
