About this role We are seeking a dynamic, collaborative, and student-centered Upper School Math Teacher to join our faculty. This position plays a key role in fostering a climate of trust and mutual respect, ensuring that students feel empowered to take risks and explore complex mathematical concepts. The role strengthens our Upper School program by delivering highly engaging, multi-modal instruction that nurtures each student’s intellectual and academic development.
Requirements / QualificationsKey Responsibilities: Teach four Grade 9 & 10 math courses; flexibility to teach a variety of courses, including Algebra 1, Geometry, and Algebra 2 Plan lessons and post weekly agendas and resources to online LMS (Canvas). Teach with clear computational and mathematical explanations, labs, and interactive lessons. Classes are on an 80-minute block schedule and meet every other day. Mentor a small group of about 12 students with weekly meetings, discussions, and advising. Participate in schoolwide experiential education outings, assemblies, and special events. Core Qualifications: BS or higher degree in Mathematics or a related field Classroom and/or online teaching experience Teaching credential is preferred Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience working with neurodiverse students Previous experience working with international students Experience teaching with iPads Experience building and delivering curriculum through an LMS (Canvas, Blackboard, etc.) Experience developing units using principles of backwards design Teaching in a block schedule
Compensation: The salary range is $70,400 - $140,000 annually. Placement within the range will be commensurate with experience and qualifications. Candidates with fewer years of experience can expect placement toward the lower end of the range.
