**Job Title: Extruder Operator** **3rd Shift:** **7pm-7am** **Pay: $22.25/hr** **($21/hr + $1.25 Shift Differential)** **Job Description** We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Machine Operator to oversee the extrusion machine process. This role involves managing a machine that applies a plastic coating to bare copper wires, including copper coaxial cable and other wires used in data transfer and communication. The candidate will be responsible for setting up the machine correctly, using basic hand tools for adjustments, and monitoring the flow and supply of raw materials. The role requires identifying and resolving issues promptly to ensure efficient and accurate product flow. Periodic quality checks using various measuring tools are also part of the responsibilities. **Responsibilities** + Oversee extrusion machine operations. + Set up and adjust the machine for different products. + Use basic hand tools to switch and adjust tooling as needed. + Monitor raw materials and ensure a consistent supply. + Identify and resolve issues quickly to maintain efficient product flow. + Conduct periodic quality checks using measuring tools like tape measures, micrometers, calipers, and gauges. + Follow a set Standard Operating Procedure (SOP). + Adhere to the Master Sheet and Process Sheet for product and schedule guidelines. + Pay close attention to detail and take accurate measurements. + Document results on a computer and track production. + Manage time effectively, moving between stations to load/unload spools and feed operations or pull finished products. **Interested?
