Job Title: Export Operations Specialist
Job Description

The Export Operations Specialist plays a vital role in logistics and supply chain management, ensuring the efficient handling and processing of export shipments and documentation. This position requires coordinating with various service providers, preparing export documentation, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements for seamless export transactions.

ResponsibilitiesReceive and review customer orders for accuracy and completeness, enter order details into company software, and monitor orders to ensure timely processing.Arrange and book shipments with carriers, including ocean, road, and rail transport, and communicate with shipping lines and transport providers to confirm capacity, schedules, and service details.Prepare and review all export documentation, including commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, bills of lading, export declarations, and other shipping documents, ensuring compliance with destination country requirements.Ensure compliance with international trade regulations, export control laws, and customs requirements, and liaise with relevant authorities for export procedures.Track shipments and provide timely updates to customers, maintain records of export shipments, and update spreadsheets for tracking shipments and container inventories.Act as the point of contact for customers and suppliers for export-related inquiries, provide assistance in managing orders and shipments, and resolve any issues during the export process.Enter export shipment data into the company's transport management system and ensure accurate maintenance of shipment files and documentation.Address and resolve issues related to export shipments, including delays, discrepancies in documentation, and logistical challenges, working proactively to avoid shipping errors or customs issues.Essential SkillsExperience in logistics and customer service.Proficiency in managing export and transportation processes.Knowledge of BOLs and supply chain management.Experience in trucking/dispatching and handling multiple accounts.Proficiency in Excel and CargoWise is a plus.Comfortable with Outlook Email.Additional Skills & QualificationsIndustry experience in logistics and supply chain.Experience with BOLs and managing multiple accounts.Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with CargoWise software.Work Environment

The role requires working onsite in an office environment, utilizing transport management systems and standard office software. The position involves collaborating with various departments and external partners, attending meetings, and maintaining accurate documentation in a fast-paced setting.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $26.44/hr.
