Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Export Coordinator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will provide exemplary customer service, build strong relationships with customers and vendors, and contribute to the team's success by assisting members as needed. This role requires a keen attention to detail and the ability to meet stringent accuracy and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
+ Provide high-touch, exemplary customer service.
+ Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and vendors.
+ Assist team members as workload permits and contribute to team success.
+ Perform input and release of documents with accuracy, meeting regulatory obligations and timing requirements.
+ Produce and distribute cargo manifests, and transmit manifest data via Electronic Data Interface (EDI).
+ Coordinate vessel dispatch and terminal activity for inbound cargo.
+ Monitor customs cargo release and resolve related issues.
+ Ensure timely communication of invoice/collection concerns regarding steamship release.
+ Schedule and deliver import cargo with vendors.
+ Assist with vendor rate negotiations.
+ Provide transportation vendors with accurate work orders.
+ Oversee inland movement to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of cargo.
+ Track cargo from origin to destination, notifying customers of delays or issues.
+ Coordinate empty container disposition with the Logistics team.
+ Assist with pricing and cargo routing decisions to meet customer needs and cost objectives.
+ Review and audit service contracts and tariffs, ensuring proper rates in the system.
+ Complete export bookings within regional vessel allocations.
+ Coordinate vessel terminal activity for outbound cargo.
+ Provide support services to regional sales managers and agents in North America and Asia.
+ Develop and maintain specialized customer reporting as needed.
+ Engage positively within a cross-functional team, supporting team and company goals.
+ Participate in cross-training and support other roles within the delivery center and business departments.
+ Collaborate with team members and management on system testing and process efficiencies.
+ Manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment with high email volume.
+ Interface with other business segments and support teams.
+ Review and approve invoice queues timely.
+ Perform problem-solving with cost analysis of proposed resolutions.
+ Follow business processes for compliance and support proper workflows.
Essential Skills
+ 1-3 years of professional experience handling 200+ emails per day.
+ Experience in logistics, transportation, or ocean freight preferred.
+ Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
+ High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree preferred.
+ Minimum of 3 years of business experience in customer service with high volume email correspondence.

Work Environment
This position requires 100% onsite presence for training, with the opportunity to transition to a hybrid schedule of 3 days onsite and 2 days remote once up to speed. The standard work hours are Monday to Friday, 7 AM to 4 PM, with potential for overtime.

This is a Contract position based out of Puyallup, Washington.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.96 - $25.96/hr.
