When you step into a career with AT&T, you won’t just imagine the future-you’ll create it. **What You'll Do** Safeguard the NPSBN for first responders by ensuring the integrity and effectiveness of security controls for FirstNet applications across Core (LTE, 5G), RAN infrastructure, BSS OSS, mobile applications and IoT deployable devices. Enable public safety professionals to fully harness the transformative power of mobility technologies while maintaining the integrity of critical communications. As an Expert Cybersecurity, you will apply deep understanding of telecom core infrastructure, and a strong cybersecurity focus to lead security oversight and compliance efforts for the FirstNet program. This position requires expertise in managing end-to-end mobility cybersecurity, including 5G implementation and its associated OSS/BSS components Experience with security compliance for mobility vendor products from Ericsson, Nokia, and Cisco is essential, particularly those supporting the Radio Access Network and Mobility Core elements that handle control and user plane traffic. A solid understanding of telephony interface protocols (SS7, SIGTRAN), IP protocols (HTTP, TELNET, FTP, Diameter), network topology (LAN/WAN, DNS/DHCP), and related OSI layer components is required. Additionally, the role aligns with forward-looking mobility ecosystem strategies, including 3GPP and GSMA standards, to minimize risks arising from industry changes and ensure confidentiality, integrity, and availability through collaboration with FirstNet. You will also work cross-functionally to identify and address cybersecurity gaps during the rollout of mobility components. The role demands familiarity with public safety and industry-recognized security frameworks, proficiency in encryption technologies, vulnerability scanning tools, and management of diverse technology solutions and assets. As a proactive self-starter, the candidate will leverage program implementation life cycles and data-driven insights to maintain a strong cybersecurity posture for the FirstNet program. **What You'll Need To Bring** Telecom & Mobility Expertise: + Working knowledge of telecom Infrastructure technologies including VoIP, LTE, and 5G. + Familiarity with 3GPP specifications, telecom interfaces, and protocols. + Preference for experience with projects involving RAN/EPC/IMS/SIP network functions such as eNodeB, gNodeB ,MME, SAE-GW, CTS, HSS, AMS, NEF, UDM, SBC, CTS. Deployment of Mobility Components on Virtualization & Cloud Computing: + Solid understanding of virtualization, containerization, and cloud concepts including OpenStack, Docker, and Kubernetes. + The ability to lead cybersecurity control testing efforts between physical and virtualized infrastructures in network environments transitioning from traditional physical hardware to virtualized or containerized solutions. + Strategic Alignment: + Aligned with forward-looking strategies in the mobility ecosystem, including 3GPP and GSMA standards and associated vendor ecosystems to minimize risks for the FirstNet program. + Leadership in Cybersecurity: + Lead cybersecurity architecture and vulnerability management for mobility infrastructures. + Drive risk reduction, enforce cybersecurity accountability, and assist leadership in evaluating the impact of security controls aligned with proposed architectures. Technical Proficiency: + Strong expertise in assessing security controls implemented in Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking tools and concepts such as Wireshark, tcpdump, Cisco IOS, BGP, OSPF, VLANs, and QoS. + Skilled at analyzing network diagrams and evaluating the implementation of security controls. + Experience with virtualization and cloud platforms including OpenStack, Docker, Kubernetes, Microsoft Azure, and AWS. + Skilled in cybersecurity tools for vulnerability scanning, EDR, patch management, and alignment with NIST special publications for mobility. **Preferred Skills** + Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CRISC. + Experience in risk management and compliance. + Knowledge of the FirstNet program and mobility security standards. **Education** + Preferred) M.S. in Telecommunications, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience). **Key Attributes We Value** + Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills. + Proactive in identifying and mitigating security risks. + Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. + Collaborative and able to work across cross-functional teams.
