Job Summary:

We are seeking an Experienced Procurement Analyst to join our Data Integration team, focusing on our government business in Long Beach, CA, Hazelwood, MO, or Seattle, WA.

The ideal candidate will provide support across the BGS Business, emphasizing metric development, automation, report creation, and key data insights. This role requires a strong understanding of data mapping, transformation, quality assurance, and collaboration with various stakeholders.

Position Responsibilities:

Overall RAA

Provide support across BGS Business with a focus on metric development & automation, report creation, and key data insights.

Focus on business-level metrics rather than director-level.

Ensure alignment on consistent metric and data definitions across the business.

Data Mapping & Transformation

Analyze source data and define data mapping specifications.

Document data sources and definitions by business unit.

Design and implement data transformation processes to ensure data quality and integrity.

Data Quality Assurance

Implement data quality checks and validation processes to ensure accuracy and consistency of integrated data.

Confirm that readily available dashboards include all business data.

Identify and resolve data quality issues in collaboration with data owners.

Validate metrics against raw data from source systems.

Metric Creation & Automation

Utilize analytic platforms like Tableau and Power BI to create automated metrics and dashboards.

Develop and automate key business metrics with consistent definitions across the organization.

Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure metrics align with business objectives and reporting standards.

Collaboration with Stakeholders

Work closely with director analysts, data architects, IT, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and integration needs.

Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Integrate with the business to understand their systems and processes to become a subject matter expert.

Documentation

Monitor data integration processes and troubleshoot issues as they arise.

Perform regular maintenance and updates to data integration systems.

Continuous Improvement

Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in data integration.

Propose and implement improvements to existing data integration processes.

Basic Qualifications:

3+ years of experience in Procurement Data Analysis

3+ years of experience developing reports and insights utilizing reporting/data analytical/business intelligence tools such as Tableau, Spotfire, Power BI and Maximo

3+ years of experience in Quality Assurance

3+ years of experience as a proven leader with strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Skills:

Knowledge of government business processes and regulations

Familiarity with SQL and data integration tools

Experience in process improvement methodologies

Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Business Analytics, Information Technology, or a related field

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. 

Summary pay range: $88,400.00 - $127,650.00
