Position: Experienced C# Developer

Location: Labman HQ, Stokesley, North Yorkshire

(this is not a remote or hybrid role)

Salary: From £45,000 - £65,000 per year

Employment Type: Full-time

We are looking for a talented Software Engineer to join our growing team at Labman. In this role, you will work closely with the Area Manager and Team Leaders to drive innovation in the design, development and maintenance of Labman’s software systems. You will also support junior team members in their technical and personal development, contributing to a collaborative and forward-thinking environment.

What You'll Do:

Participate in the full software development lifecycle—from concept and design through to coding, testing, deployment, and documentationDevelop high-quality software using object-oriented principles, primarily in Microsoft C# .NETStay up to date with emerging technologies and techniques, and help implement new innovations across future systemsFollow Labman’s software development processes and contribute to continuous improvementsSupport and maintain existing software systems, ensuring they remain efficient, user-friendly, and easy to supportMentor junior colleagues, providing guidance and contributing to their professional growthContribute to the development of software strategies, standards, and internal processes

What You'll Need:

Minimum 3 years commercial experience in C# .NETStrong software development skills in Microsoft C# .NET, including object-oriented designExperience in Windows desktop application developmentStrong problem-solving and analytical skills in a practical, hands-on environmentAbility to work effectively within a team, sharing knowledge and supporting colleagues Ability to work independently and take ownership of tasks and projectsGood written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce clear technical documentationEffective communication and collaboration within multidisciplinary project teamsHigh level of self-organisation and strong time-management skillsWillingness to learn, adapt, and adopt new technologies and methods
