Boeing Aerospace OperationsBoeing Defense Space & Security (BDS) is looking for an Experienced Avionics Technician to join our Executive Fleet team in San Antonio, TX. In this role, you will play a crucial part in the production and maintenance processes by providing support in multiple areas.
Position Responsibilities:
Perform connector terminations including shielded wires, coaxial cables, and fiber optic wiringAbility to solve problems that cannot be solved solely by referencing manufacturers manualAbility and understanding of routing instructions and handling of harnesses.Perform sealing, wrapping, bonding, tying, and closure of wire harnesses and cables in accordance with standard processesDiagnose and correct malfunctions occurring in assembly processesRead and interpret engineering drawings, technical orders, process specification, and retrofit requirements to perform electrical modifications and repairsUse tooling assemblies and fixtures for depot level modification and repair of electrical wiringPerform assembly, installation, visual inspection of physical characteristics, modification of wire bundles & electrical assemblies, operational and quality checks of aircraftTroubleshoot organizational and depot maintenance level malfunctions in aircraft electrical and comms/nav-systemsInterpret standard work instructions, charts, tables, blueprints, wire diagrams, formulas, sketches, verbal and electronic orders, job layouts, etc...Use all equipment in accordance with established safety and operating proceduresPerform all tasks involved in the coordination, preparation, and movement of material and toolsOperate riding type electric powered elevating equipment to accomplish work assignmentsExperience with Hazardous Energy and Lock Out /Tag systems applications to ensure working environment safe for accessAscend and descend vertical work ladders, work in confined spaces, and lift loads of approximately 35 poundsThis position requires the ability to pass an assessment during the training cycle

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
9+ years of experience with maintenance of avionics and/or electronic equipment (Comm Nav, Data Links, Weapons, Radar, Electronic Warfare9+ years of experience reading and interpreting drawings, specifications, material processes, schematics and diagrams9+ years of experience with software, media and file command installation to operate newly installed systems9+ years of experience with component and wire installation to include repairing, modifying, testing and troubleshooting new, experimental, and disturbed systemsAbility to work variable shifts (i.e. scheduled and unscheduled overtime; weekends and holidays) to support mission requirements and workloadPreferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Active Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required)Experience with Depot Level maintenance and large avionics modification implementation. Experience with Flight System Operational checksOperate a forklift, mobile crane, and riding type electric powered elevating equipment to accomplish work assignmentConflict of Interest:

Summary Starting Pay Rate: $78,000 / $37.50 per hour
