Main purpose of role
The Design Consultant is responsible for interacting and consultative discussions with prospective SDA customers, and clients through our EC. Within this role you’ll also assist with the calendar of events, co-partnered events, partnership opportunities and SDA lead presentations. Generate sales growth and delivers profitable growth in the short and long term, by providing a world class premium luxury experience to all those that visit our Experience centre.

Delivers a world-class end to end customer experience across all key specifier, designer and architect touchpoints aligned to F&P brand.
Role Responsibilities
EC Consultant
Confidently host and lead groups of professional clients through the Experience Centre, bringing the Fisher & Paykel brand story and product experience to life.
Build relationships with SDA (Specifiers, designers, architects) in wider London, and throughout The UK through experience centre consultations and experiences.
Lead product specification for luxury residential projects, building strong relationships with key stakeholders and driving conversion.
Work Collaboratively with the Global EC Chef and wider marketing team.
Understand what designers want/need from a manufacturer to specify product.
Play an active role in hosting, planning and delivering SDA and customer events of varying scale, across both daytime and evening experiences.
Understands and interprets architectural drawings and communicates confidently with design professionals.
Deliver product training that is sufficiently technical, but more geared to business benefits and competitive advantages
Maintain the experience centre at the highest luxury level.
Have a sound understanding of health & safety, and role model sound health and safety practices and behaviours. Manage daily activities to fully comply with all FPA health and safety system and policy requirements, and with legislation, regulations.
Design Development
Deeply understands key specifier community (kitchen/bathroom designers, interior designers, and architects (both interior & landscape)) and their environmental influences. Keeps current on changes, competitor and customer trends and best practice that influence design development’s plans and key specifiers’ business.
Manages and cultivates trusting partnerships with existing key specifiers that leverages F&P’s brand and growth.
Ensures a seamless, brand aligned representation of F&P’s value proposition across all touch points of the key specifier community.
Initiates, develops and attends designer network events and retail events at Experience Centres that strengthen existing, as well as create new specifier opportunities, by delivering a globally aligned representation of product and brand, cultivating a momentum of enthusiasm and pull for F&P’s brand, products and service.
Ensures all activities of design development is performed in compliance with country, state, and federal regulations and, laws governing business.
Product & Brand Ambassador
Ensures accuracy and completeness of F&P’s brand and product messaging are represented to all key specifiers (including design principles and objectives).
Ensures accuracy, completeness, and availability of product assets (including product descriptions, specifications, drawings, cabinet dimensions & clearances for feasibility, fit and safety requirements) for key specifiers.
Acts as the design liaison for in-Market channel requirements.

Follow all safety instructions and report all hazards and incidents in the workplace.
Experience
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the appliance or building industry, in a design, project management or sales/marketing role.
Premium/luxury showroom sales consultant.
Event planning and hosting experience
Working experience with interior/kitchen designers and architects.
Proven experience at successfully developing strategic partnerships both externally and internally to deliver quality results.
Competent in Microsoft Office 365 tools – specifically Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Qualifications
Qualification in either Marketing, Business or Interior Design preferred in conjunction with relevant design credentials.
