Executive Senior Manager, Financial Planning & Cost Controller

**What's The Role**
The **Executive Senior Manager, Financial Planning & Cost Controller** plays a critical role in overseeing, optimizing, and safeguarding the company’s financial performance through rigorous budgeting, cost accounting, financial analysis, and strategic planning. Reporting to the CFO, this full-time position collaborates with department heads and senior leadership to prepare, monitor, and analyse budgets, operating costs, capital expenditures, and financial forecasts—ensuring alignment with organizational objectives while supporting compliance and operational efficiency.
**What You'll Do**
+ Lead and coordinate the annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-range financial planning processes in collaboration with the CFO and department heads.
+ Prepare and present detailed financial reports, budgets, forecasts, and scenario analyses for management and external stakeholders.
+ Manage comprehensive cost accounting processes—including cost allocation, tracking production costs, materials, labor, and overhead.
+ Monitor and analyze budget-to-actual performance, project costs, and companywide expenditures to identify areas for cost savings, risk mitigation, and margin improvement.
+ Support compliance with GAAP, IFRS, telecommunications industry standards, VAT, and tax regulations.
+ Provide actionable financial insights, recommendations, and modeling to inform capital investments, pricing strategies, and overall business decision-making.
+ Maintain and enhance internal controls over financial planning, budgeting, cost accounting, and reporting processes.
+ Participate in audits, regulatory reporting, and ERP system improvements to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data.
+ Collaborate with operations, accounting, and project teams on cost recording, financial analysis, and strategic initiatives for operational efficiency.
+ Support month-end and year-end financial close activities as well as ongoing compliance reviews.
**What You'll Need**
+ Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics,
+ Professional qualification (e.g., ACCA, CPA, CIMA) OR a MBA degree highly preferred.
+ 3-7 years of experience in financial planning, budgeting, cost accounting, or analysis, preferably within the telecommunications or technology sector.
+ Strong proficiency in cost accounting principles, financial reporting standards (GAAP/IFRS), and budgeting techniques.
+ Advanced skills with Microsoft Excel, Power BI and experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) is highly desirable.
+ Demonstrated ability to analyze financial data, model scenarios, and communicate complex financial information effectively with both financial and non-financial stakeholders.
+ Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and interpersonal skills for working cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment.
+ Familiarity with telecommunications financial metrics, regulatory environment, and capital project ROI analysis is a plus
**Experience**
+ Minimum 5–7 years of experience in revenue accounting, financial control, or revenue assurance—preferably in the telecommunications industry.
+ Proven track record of managing large data sets and complex billing processes.
+ Proven track record managing CAPEX and budgetary allocations
+ Extensive experience in financial forecasting.
+ Proven competency in Business development would be a distinct advantage
