Sierra Academy is a tuition free, project-based, college preparatory high school in the Sierra Nevada Foothills of Northern California. We are located in the historic NCE building in downtown Nevada City. Using the nationally acclaimed EL Education model, students take their learning deeper with hands on, interdisciplinary experiences in the classroom and in the field.

This position will collaboratively lead an EL Education high school program in the Sierra Nevada foothills in Northern California. The Executive Director is the lead learner and is expected to model growth mindset and facilitate continuous improvement for equity. This school model has students engaging in deeper learning, through projects and products, built from interdisciplinary curriculum. The work is meant to engage directly and in support of our Nevada County community. This is the sole Administrator of this program, even though there are robust shared leadership practices, teams, and commitments. The school is heading into its 14th year.
