Executive Director, Strategic Sourcing and Procurement

Responsibilities What You'll Do: + V2X has an immediate opening for an Executive Director of Strategic Sourcing and Procurement. The position provides an opportunity to enhance the performance of the Global Procurement and Supply Chain organization supporting some of our nation’s fundamental defense services. V2X employees work closely with esteemed customers to develop solutions allowing them to carry out high-stakes national security missions. Key Responsibilities: + Owns the strategic sourcing efforts as it relates to procurement for all business units. Will be responsible for leading the strategic sourcing team in establishing long-term procurement efforts, such as Long-term Agreements (LTAs), Master Sourcing Agreements (MSAs), etc. providing value added capabilities for the global procurement teams. + Responsible for the day-to-day procurement efforts and teams in support of V2Xs Modernization and Sustainment Business Unit. Will be required to provide oversight and guidance to dispersed team of procurement professionals + Develops strategic supplier strategies to expand the procurement organization’s capability to meet the customer's future expectations/needs in conjunction with V2X Strategic Sourcing/Enterprise Buying efforts + Monitors established supplier metric reviews over a family of programs/product line or within their respective business/program areas + Leads people who lead procurement teams in matrix organization to achieve schedule, cost, and technical performance objectives + Prepares and presents supplier program/product status to leadership and external customers + Responsible for directing other supply chain staff managers and responsibility for managing people including performance + Drives strategic global sourcing approach for supply chain talent. Reviews organizational capabilities, and development/execution of strategies, to improve the competitiveness of the organization through actions such as global sourcing, professional growth & development, strategic hiring, strategic partnering, and acquisitions. + Establishes milestones of critical suppliers and monitors adherence to master plans and schedules identifies program problems and obtains solutions, such as allocation of resources or changing contractual specifications + Develops & implements supplier product/program strategies, roadmaps, and cohesive integrated plans for portfolio to meet business and program objectives relating to revenue, margin, and quality + Develops, defines and executes complex procurement project plans, schedules, budgets and deliverables + Balances program’s risks and opportunities with executable strategies to meet technical requirements and budgets + Conducts supplier reviews to drill down into issues on products/programs, identify issues, develop corrective actions, and communicate issues, impacts and corrective actions to program teams + Interfaces with customers on technical matters regarding supplier program/products + Development of customer relationships + Directs all phases of critical procurement from inception through completion + Directs the negotiation of critical procurement suppliers and contract change efforts + Acts as primary customer contact for program activities dealing with supply chain, leading supplier program review sessions with customers to discuss cost, schedule, and technical performance + Identifies market/scope changes and develops supplier product/program positions for costs/price and feature changes or equitable cost/schedule adjustments + Develop personnel to ensure efficient operation + Delegates assignments to others for developing solutions + Develops and executes supplier/subcontractor proposal plans and strategies + Effectively engages and leads in complex negotiations with suppliers involving various aspects of the business area Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: + Education & Experience: + Bachelor's degree or equivalent is required plus a minimum of + 15+ years' of demonstrated leadership in DoD supply chain and procurement + 10+ years Aviation and base operations support experience + Other Requirements: + Ability to obtain and maintain a secret clearance + U.S. citizenship is required. + Travel: 30% CONUS/OCONUS + Desired Qualifications: + Active Secret clearance + Skills and Abilities: + Demonstrated expert in Supply Chain + Demonstrated expertise in compliance issues related to federal procurement and supply chain operations, including audit preparedness, training, policy and procedure development and regulations + Ability to leverage cost structures that will allow the business to win programs as well as meet internal financial targets + Ability to articulate and synthesize a sustainable, positive, foundation within the supplier base to win opportunities, by identifying factors that differentiate critical suppliers/subcontractor offerings over the competitors in the customers view + Ability to develop and execute critical suppliers/subcontractors and strategies and shape the suppliers response + Demonstrated Ability to Manage Program Complexity - Of a program/family of programs that may serve multiple customers and requires managing multiple subcontractors with teams crossing several companies and/or business segments. + Demonstrated Ability to Manage Across Multiple/Large Span of Control - Program and suppliers may span several major domestic and worldwide locations requiring coordination of technology and/or production across locations + Demonstrated Subject Matter Expert in Risk Management - Understanding of advanced techniques in risk management and can apply them within the supply chain organization in the procurement of commodities, or services, or subcontracts + Leadership - Ability to consistently balance strategic and tactical objectives for a business area or a family portfolio while optimizing stakeholder value. Ability to lead others in team building, conflict resolution, motivation, leadership and advanced risk management + Communication - Ability to clearly and concisely report relevant information and to summarize data for senior management. Expert joint communication skills on vision, strategy, and themes, for the proposal, for program teams as well as to senior leadership + Decision Making - Ability to practically apply advanced strategic and tactical skills across many aspects of programs and the supply chain organization. Ability to make sound decisions as well as leading a group towards positive group decisions. + Software: + Microsoft Office Suite 365 + Technology + Company computer, printer, copy machine and other general office equipment.
