**Position Summary:**
The Executive Director, DC Operations is responsible for the overall performance of the distribution center, with a strong focus on creating and maintaining a first-class employee experience. This includes talent development, employee engagement, staffing and retention, and comprehensive training programs. The role also leads operational strategies to achieve profit and expense goals while ensuring compliance with company policies and government regulations.
**Responsibilities:**
**Strategic Planning**
+ Develop and execute comprehensive short- and long-term strategies aligned with enterprise goals and local strengths.
+ Optimize facility product flow and building capacity in collaboration with corporate partners.
+ Champion innovation and drive agile solutions to enhance operational efficiency.
**Colleague Experience**
+ Engage with colleagues and front-line leaders to gather feedback and validate execution of critical action items.
+ Partner with HR to drive a colleague engagement strategy that fosters an inclusive culture and continuous improvement.
+ Ensure a best-in-class training experience for all distribution center colleagues.
**Operational Execution**
+ Oversee pharmacy operations, ensuring compliance with DEA and board of pharmacy requirements.
+ Manage P&L responsibilities, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries while optimizing production and shipment operations.
+ Build strong relationships with field store partners, corporate teams, and transportation to bridge service gaps.
**Talent Development**
+ Develop capabilities of direct reports and build robust talent pools and succession plans.
+ Promote a high-performance culture by setting clear goals and expectations.
+ Act as a coach and mentor, supporting individual development plans for high-potential talent.
**Continuous Improvement & Change Management**
+ Identify opportunities for efficiency and colleague experience enhancements.
+ Embrace organizational improvement initiatives and act as a change agent.
+ Partner with HR to create change management strategies for impactful initiatives.
**Required Qualifications:**
+ 8+ years of leadership experience in distribution, warehouse, retail, or manufacturing environments.
+ 5+ years of experience leading exempt-level direct reports.
+ 2+ years of experience with 5S and 4+ years implementing LEAN principles.
+ Proven ability to drive culture and results, with experience managing a site with 300+ non-exempt employees.
+ Strong strategic thinking and project management skills.
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
+ Strong time management abilities.
+ Required to work On-site
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ Lean Six Sigma certification.
+ Background in Industrial Engineering.
**Education:**
+ Bachelor’s degree required.
+ Master’s degree preferred.
**Pay Range**
The typical pay range for this role is:
$131,500.00 - $303,195.00
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
