Disney Branded Television is seeking an Executive Assistant to support the VP of Business Affairs and other Business Affairs executives for Disney Television Animation. This role may also provide occasional departmental administrative support, as needed. The Assistant will be a key member of a fast-paced team that makes deals to develop, produce, and license content for Disney Entertainment Television.
Responsibilities:
Schedule internal and external meetings and calls, and understand the day’s priorities for the best use of timeManage phone calls, written correspondence and emails and facilitate execution and distribution of various talent, development, and series agreementsInterface directly with other executives and their support teamsHandle confidential, sensitive information, remembering that Disney is a publicly traded companyDraft letters, emails, memos, reports, spreadsheets, short form agreements, and other related correspondenceReview contracts and assist in preparing/redlining/editing/proofing of documentsCompile and curate status, tracking, and summary reportsPrepare expense reports, make travel arrangements, order office supplies, organize and fileResearch past projects and credits of actors, directors, producers, and writersMentor and train other support professionals in hard skills like computer programs and soft skills like teamworkBasic Qualifications:
1+ years of professional administrative experience supporting an executive in entertainmentSharp written and verbal communication skills – particularly phone skills and email etiquetteComplete reliability handling confidential, often highly sensitive informationStrong proficiency with computers, phones, and office equipment, as well as mastery of Microsoft Office programs and working in a Windows environmentA calm head and steady hand to deal with the unexpected“EQ” skills to build bridges, forge alliances, and encourage people to want to work with youMotivation to be helpful to your leaders and co-workers, to go the extra mile without being askedVery strong organizational and time management skills and extreme attention to detailA highly professional demeanor, positive outlook, and a can-do attitudePreferred Qualifications:
2+ years’ experience at a studio, network, talent agency, management company, or entertainment law firmExperience with Salesforce-type databases and apps as well as SAP/ConcurExperience with managing execution of documents (e.g. DocuSign)Preferred Education:
Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent experienceThe hiring range for this position in Glendale, CA is $54,000 to $72,300 per year based on a 40 hour work week. The amount of hours scheduled per week may vary based on business needs. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.Job Posting Segment:
