Internal Fraud plays a key role within American Express’s 1LOD Internal Fraud Center of Excellence (COE), responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing rules that detect and prevent internal fraud.
How will you make an impact in this role?
The Executive Assistant plays a critical role within the Internal Fraud Center of Excellence, serving as a strategic partner to the Vice President, Head of Internal Fraud. This role supports both the day-to-day operating rhythm and the build out of a newly formed team, ensuring priorities are organized, initiatives are advancing, and leadership is positioned to execute effectively.
Reporting to the Vice President, this role combines executive support with structured project coordination. The individual will work closely with cross functional partners across Fraud Analytics, Investigations, Technology, and Operational Risk to help drive alignment, track key deliverables, and maintain strong operational discipline as the function scales.
Serve as a strategic partner to one Vice President initially, with scope to expand to additional leaders over time, aligning complex calendars to business priorities and long range planningWork closely with the Vice President as they onboard and build a newly developed team, providing hands on support across both administration and project coordinationAct as a central coordination lead across Directors and key partners, translating shifting priorities into clear plans, milestones, and follow upsDrive end to end planning for internal and external meetings, including agenda development, materials, logistics, and action trackingProvide project management support across leadership initiatives by tracking progress, managing deadlines, and escalating risks as neededMaintain forward visibility into critical milestones, leadership forums, and enterprise commitments to ensure preparedness and alignmentOversee complex travel planning and integrated itineraries that support strategic objectivesManage expense reporting and reconciliation, while supporting special projects and team initiatives with strong execution discipline and cross functional coordinationMinimum Qualifications:
5+ years of executive administrative support experience within a large organizationProven track record of supporting senior leaders with a customer-first mindset and strong attention to the executive’s needs and experienceExperience supporting global or senior leaders across multiple time zonesAbility to operate with a high level of integrity and maintain complete confidentiality when handling sensitive issuesEffective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey information and confidently interact at all levelsExcellent time management and organizational skills with strong accuracy and attention to detail; able to work flexibly and under pressureDemonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and execute across multiple initiatives in a fast-paced, dynamic environmentAbility to identify problems, evaluate potential solutions, and proactively work toward resolutionHigh proficiency using MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and internal AXP tools and systems, including Outlook, Webex, Ariba, Concur, Payroll, SharePoint, and myInfoStrong interpersonal and networking skills to build and maintain effective professional relationships across the organizationAbility to interact effectively and diplomatically with executives and Executive Assistants across AXPTeam-oriented mindset with the ability to excel in a dynamic, evolving environmentWillingness to work in the New York office at least 3 days per weekPreferred Qualifications:

Salary Range: $31.49 to $49.28 hourly + bonus + benefits
