Now hiring for an Excavation Foreman for a local general contractor. This is a great opportunity to join a growing team in a leadership role, working on projects across the general Portland area.

Job Duties

· Supervise crews consisting of two to six laborers and/or equipment operators

· Interpret project plans and specifications

· Communicate with job site superintendents

· Schedule daily workflow and equipment mobilization

· Perform physical work such as heavy equipment operating, pipe laying and labor

· Perform minor equipment maintenance

· Work efficiently to meet strict deadlines

· Adhere to workplace safety and environmental practices

Required Skills

· Thorough understanding of both pipe and excavation

· Thorough understanding of setting and checking grades

· Proficiency at operating excavation equipment

· Ability to read and understand construction documents

· Ability to communicate respectably with customers and employees both verbally and in writing

· Willingness to take direction and follow instructions

· Mechanical ability

· Towing experience

· CDL A is a plus

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $45.00/hr.
