**Job Title: EVS Technician**
Job Description
The EVS Technician is responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment within a hospital setting. Their primary responsibility is to ensure that all areas, including patient rooms, common areas, and medical equipment, are thoroughly cleaned and disinfected. This position is vital for the health and safety of patients, staff, and visitors.
Responsibilities
+ Clean and disinfect surfaces, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and sanitizing.
+ Perform specialized cleaning and disinfecting of patient rooms after discharge or between procedures.
+ Properly dispose of various types of waste, including regular trash, medical waste, and hazardous materials, following established protocols.
+ Manage linen by collecting soiled linen, transporting it to the laundry, and distributing clean linen throughout the facility.
Essential Skills
+ Experience in cleaning, janitorial, housekeeping, and custodial duties.
+ Attention to detail and the ability to perform tasks with precision.
+ Comfortable handling bodily fluids as part of the cleaning process.
+ Strong customer service skills within a healthcare environment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience in a healthcare setting is beneficial.
+ Knowledge of proper waste management and linen handling procedures.
Work Environment
Work within a hospital setting where maintaining cleanliness and sanitation is critical. You will work with a variety of cleaning equipment and materials, adhering to healthcare sanitation standards.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Downey, California.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr.
