Bilingual EVS/Janitorial manager needed. Must speak Cantonese or Mandarin. \nEvaluates work habits, performance and attendance of staff. Documents and makes recommendations regarding employees' performance, retention and/or promotion. Takes corrective action as indicated by hospital policies and appropriate labor agreements. \nMaintains required records, gathers statistics and prepares reports as required. \nMonitors workflows and effects change to improve quality and efficiency of services. \nPlans, schedules, and directs staff to assigned areas of the hospital and its satellite facilities. Monitors and tracks progress; provides feedback to staff. \nTours hospital regularly (rounding), covering each assigned area to observe and inspect cleanliness of facilities and work in progress. \nTrain staff in technique of cleaning and disinfecting facilities, use of chemical agents and equipment, collection and disposal of infectious materials and general environmental maintenance particular to acute hospitals. Ensures compliance with safety and sanitation policies in all areas. · Ensure employees adhere to company policies and legal regulations. \nServes as a link between staff and upper management. \nParticipates in the hiring process. Screens, interviews, and provides recommendations for candidate selection.\nPerforms daily Patient Satisfaction rounds to solicit same day patient feedback and ensure service standards are met.

EVS Supervisor experience\n\nHealthcare experience preferred open to hotel or apartments \n\nUnion experience, managing employees (15+)\n\nAbility to establish and maintain respectful relationships with a diverse population.\n\nAbility to perform varied manual cleaning and related labor; lift, push, operate, and maintain equipment used; and keep simple records.\n\nAbility to prioritize work assignments and use time efficiently.\n\nAbility to speak, read, write, and understand English effectively at a level appropriate for the job.\n\nAbility to work effectively as a team player.\n\nKnowledge of methods, equipment and materials used in washing walls, floor care and maintenance, and waste disposal.\n\nSkills: Cleaning and finishing floors (vacuuming and mopping floors, spray buffing, wax and polish); stripping and refinishing floors; cleaning interior and exterior windows; washing large areas of wall surfaces.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $60.00/hr.
