Evs Supervisor
**Job Title: EVS Supervisor** **Job Description** The EVS Supervisor is responsible for evaluating the work habits, performance, and attendance of staff. This role involves documenting and making recommendations regarding employees' performance, retention, and/or promotion, and taking corrective action as indicated by hospital policies and appropriate labor agreements. The supervisor maintains required records, gathers statistics, prepares necessary reports, and monitors workflows to improve quality and efficiency of services. Additionally, the supervisor plans, schedules, and directs staff to assigned areas within the hospital and its satellite facilities, and provides feedback based on progress monitoring. **Responsibilities** + Evaluate staff performance, attendance, and work habits. + Document and recommend employee performance for retention or promotion. + Take corrective actions as per hospital policies and labor agreements. + Maintain records, gather statistics, and prepare reports. + Monitor workflows and implement changes for service quality and efficiency. + Plan, schedule, and direct staff assignments within hospital and satellite facilities. + Conduct regular tours and inspections to ensure cleanliness and progress. + Train staff in cleaning techniques, chemical use, and equipment handling. + Ensure compliance with safety and sanitation policies. + Facilitate communication between staff and upper management. + Participate in the hiring process, including screening and interviewing candidates. + Perform daily Patient Satisfaction rounds for immediate feedback and service standards. **Essential Skills** + Experience as an EVS Supervisor. + Proficiency in housekeeping, cleaning, supervision, and environmental service. + Healthcare experience preferred; open to hotel or apartment settings. + Union experience managing 15+ employees. + Ability to establish and maintain respectful relationships with a diverse population. + Capability to perform varied manual cleaning and related labor. + Effective English communication skills. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Ability to prioritize assignments and manage time efficiently. + Knowledge of methods, equipment, and materials for cleaning and maintenance. + Skills in floor care, including vacuuming, mopping, buffing, waxing, and polishing. + Proficiency in cleaning interior/exterior windows and large wall surfaces. **Why Work Here?** Enjoy a comprehensive benefits package upon full-time conversion, offering growth potential with opportunities to advance to an EVS Manager role. The position requires business formal attire and the individual will join 11 other supervisors across three shifts. The role involves handling regulatory compliance within designated duties, and requires flexibility in start and end times due to a rotating weekend schedule. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Palo Alto, California. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
