Job Description
Performs all routine, terminal, and isolation cleaning on a timely basis. This includes high/low dusting, wall/ceiling/vent/lighting cleaning, cleaning of restroom facilities, and floor care. Responsibilities also include removing and transporting trash and medical infectious waste, moving furniture and other equipment, and cleaning various areas such as the emergency room, operating rooms, offices, public bathrooms, clinics, nurses stations, exam rooms, and more.

Long-term contracts are offered, not temporary positions. Employees receive annual raises based on performance reviews. Work Environment
Locations include Kenosha Medical Center in Kenosha, WI, and St. Catherine's in Kenosha, WI. The role involves working with and/or near patients and hospital staff, with frequent exposure to medical infectious waste. Responsibilities include frequent pushing, pulling, and transporting of heavy objects, equipment, and furniture. The job requires continuous physical position changes to accommodate the cleaning of environmental surfaces, occasional climbing of stepladders to clean light fixtures and vents, as well as window and cubicle drapes, frequent kneeling and stooping to clean areas and items such as bathtubs, shower stalls, plumbing, stairs, baseboards, legs and wheels of furniture, wringing out wet mops, and removal of trash from containers. Constant repetitive hand/arm motions are required for tasks such as damp wiping environmental surfaces, running buffers and scrubbers, vacuuming, and mopping. There is occasional exposure to exposed patient body parts.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $15.50 - $17.00/hr.
