EVS Housekeeping - 2nd Shift Surgery
Job Title: EVS HousekeepingJob Description

As an EVS Housekeeper, you will perform all routine, terminal, and isolation cleaning tasks promptly. This includes high/low dusting, cleaning walls, ceilings, vents, lighting, restroom facilities, and conducting floor care. You will also be responsible for removing and transporting trash and medical infectious waste, moving furniture and other equipment, and cleaning various areas such as the emergency room, operating rooms, offices, public bathrooms, clinics, nurses' stations, and exam rooms.

ResponsibilitiesPerform routine, terminal, and isolation cleaning tasks.Conduct high/low dusting and clean walls, ceilings, vents, and lighting.Clean restroom facilities and conduct floor care.Remove and transport trash and medical infectious waste.Move furniture and other equipment as needed.Clean different areas, including emergency rooms, operating rooms, offices, and public bathrooms.
Essential SkillsAbility to lift up to 40 lbs.Ability to stand for 8 hours.Proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, hearing, and comprehending English.Consistent work history with jobs held for at least 6 months.
Additional Skills & QualificationsPreferred six months of cleaning or housekeeping experience.Experience as a housekeeper, janitor, caregiver, custodian, or in environmental services.

Work Environment

Work locations include Kenosha Medical Center in Kenosha, WI, and St. Catherine's in Kenosha, WI. The position involves working near patients and hospital staff with frequent exposure to medical infectious waste. Duties require frequent pushing, pulling, and transporting of heavy objects, equipment, and furniture. The role demands continuous physical position changes, occasional climbing of stepladders, frequent kneeling and stooping, and constant repetitive hand/arm motions. Occasionally, there may be exposure to exposed patient body parts.

This is a Contract position based out of Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $15.50 - $17.00/hr.
