Required Skills and Abilities:
-At least one (1) year previous experience in hotel convention services experience
-Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
-Knowledge of food and beverage etiquette, banquet setup styles, and catering service standards.
-Strong interpersonal skills to assess client needs, negotiate pricing, effectively deal with internal and external guest relations and provide overall guest satisfaction.
Job Description:
-Establish rapport and build trust with clients to maintain relationships that result in repeat business.
-Coordinate, organize, detail and service all meetings, functions and events according to client’s requests and needs.
-Acquire thorough knowledge of meeting space capacities, menu items, AV equipment, meeting room setup styles and all details to finalize banquet event orders for meetings and catering events.
-Upsell food and beverage products and event services to maximize profit.
-Monitor in house group activity and provide assistance for event set up.
-Attend BEO meetings to discuss details of events, set up requirements and client requests.
