Reporting to the Head of Security & Resilience Services at Organon, the EUCAN Regional Security Director (RSD) is responsible as a team member for the development, implementation, coordination and oversight of security strategies, policies and procedures, and the regional implementation, and ongoing delivery of proactive security programs designed to protect Organon personnel, products, and property/operations. The position provides regional functional expertise on matters related to security threats, counterfeiting, and the protection of sensitive information, and manages actions to investigate and protect the company's interests. The position has the responsibility for delivering at a regional level Organon security standards and guidelines including internal investigative processes and establishing the requirements and service delivery of all facility security operations. The position will advise Organon Regional Leadership Team on Company threats and ensure that appropriate mitigation systems and processes, and delivery mechanisms are in place. The RSD EUCAN is a key member of the Organon Regional Incident Management team.
The RSD will lead a regional workforce of direct, matrixed and contract personnel, and is strategically positioned to allow for appropriate span of control of regional security matters that enable the business. The position will be the primary liaison for internal and external interactions associated with regional security matters for the Company. Further leadership and guidance to additional SRS activities and mission support will be provided at the direction of the Head of Security & Resilience Services.
Position Description:
Risk ManagementDevelop and execute Organon’s Regional Security Strategy, including strategic and tactical operations designed to enable the business, monitor vulnerabilities and respond to adverse events.Support and execute Organon’s Workplace Security Strategy, including tactical operations designed to protect Organon’s employees and facilities from threats of violence, natural disaster, and unauthorized access via effective protective measures, investigations, and advocacy and awareness of associated threats. Support and execute Organon’s Trade Secret Protection Strategy, including tactical response designed to enable the secure and efficient protection of Organon’s trade secret information, provide effective trade secret risk management, and promote engagement and awareness of associated issues.Utilize the analysis and assessments derived from these systems to drive the development of a comprehensive cost-effective security program that is regional in scope and proactive in focusing on the high-risk areas and high-value activities.Support and execute Organon’s Travel Security Program Strategy, including regional operations designed to protect Organon travelers from associated risks via deployment of active measures that detect, assess and respond to hazard events.Develop and foster collaborative relationships within the Company to enhance the Regional Security mission and service delivery.Maintain active collaboration and participation in external affiliations that enable and support the Risk Management mission and overall protection of employee and workplace security.Interface and maintain liaison with regional security, intelligence and law enforcement agencies, as well as with such other public and private sector agencies, institutions, companies and individuals as may be required to further the security program and the business interests of Organon.Product IntegritySupport and execute of the Organon’s Anti-Counterfeiting Strategy, including strategic and tactical operations designed to protect Organon’s patients from threats of counterfeit, diverted, and tampered product via effective product security measures, investigations leading to meaningful enforcement outcomes, and advocacy and awareness of associated threats.Support and execute Organon’s Supply Chain Security Strategy, including tactical operations designed to enable the secure and efficient movement of Organon’s products and materials, provide effective supply chain risk management, and promote engagement and awareness of associated issues. Support and execute Organon’s Brand Security strategy that appropriately identifies, assesses, and enforces against illicit threats to Organon’s brands, including patent-infringing generic copies of Organon products.People Management and Organizational LeadershipDevelop and maintain effective direct and matrixed organization to support the Regional Security missionRecruit, develop, and lead global workforce to support the Regional Security missionFinancial ManagementManage operational expenditures to align with corporate and regional business activities and requirements, ensuring proactive measures and timely security services on incidents, investigative work, training needs, and ongoing maintenance of OGS programs while prioritizing service to the identified high security risks for the Company.Provide strong financial stewardship of Regional Security budget assuring spend is focused on supporting the mission and does not exceed approved authorized levels.Security & Resilience Services Leadership Team (SRSLT)Support the Leadership Team in the development and execution of the SRS missionEffectively support and enable a global matrix-managed workforceModel leadership behaviors within SRS, and in the larger Organon organizationEducation Minimum Requirement:
Bachelor's DegreeRequired Experience and Skills:
Minimum 10 years of experience in Corporate Security ManagementMinimum 5 years of experience and expert knowledge in anti-counterfeiting & product integrity/brand protectionMinimum of 5 years of experience associated with security risk managementMinimum of 5 years of experience and expert knowledge in Crisis Management, Physical Security & investigationMinimum 5 years of experience in management rolePreferred to have 5 years of experience in pharmaceutical industryPreferred Knowledge of pharmaceutical sales, manufacturing and research operationsDemonstrated experience interacting with and supporting senior leadershipDemonstrated strong cross-functional team leadership abilities and experienceCommitted to successfully leading and managing in a matrixed environment with exceptional level of collaboration, clarity and honesty in dealing with peers, team members and all others in a flat and nimble organization.Ability to champion new ideas or positions to meet key goals and initiativesStrong commitment to patient safety and compliance requirementsMust possess and demonstrate strong leadership, communication and analytical skills Must be innovative and independent, able to manage an aggressive workload in a high performing environmentAnticipated 25% travel, domestic and internationalPreferred Knowledge and Skills:
