Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive audits of suppliers and factories to assess compliance with ethical sourcing and social responsibility standards.
Evaluate supplier policies, procedures, and operations related to labor rights, human rights, health and safety, environmental management, and business ethics.
Review supplier documentation and records to verify adherence to relevant laws, regulations, and company standards.
Identify and report instances of non-compliance, providing recommendations for corrective and preventive actions.
Prepare detailed audit reports and present findings to management, highlighting key risks and opportunities for improvement.
Monitor supplier progress on corrective actions and conduct follow-up assessments to ensure resolution.
Provide training, guidance, and support to suppliers and internal stakeholders on ethical sourcing requirements and best practices.
Build and maintain strong, transparent relationships with suppliers and factories to drive collaboration and continuous improvement.
Stay informed on evolving regulations, standards, and industry trends related to ethical sourcing and social compliance.
Requirements
Certified social compliance auditor under one or more recognized standards (e.g., SA8000, SMETA, BSCI, WRAP).
Strong knowledge of RSC/ACCORD frameworks and experience driving factory improvements.
Proven experience conducting supplier or factory audits within the manufacturing, retail, or sourcing sectors.
Excellent analytical, reporting, and communication skills, with the ability to present findings clearly and objectively.
Strong time management skills with the ability to manage multiple audits and deadlines effectively.
High attention to detail and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
