Who we are looking for:
The Middle East & Africa [MEA] ETF Capital Markets Specialist will be primarily responsible for supporting the growth of the ETF market in the GCC, reporting directly to the Head of APAC & MEA ETF Capital Markets, the role will involve working alongside the MEA Distribution team to build and promote SSIM ETF capabilities within the region. This role will play a crucial role in driving education, navigating complex and developing market structure regimes, and thinking strategically to capture growth opportunities leveraging our global footprint, through internal and external partnership.
What you will be responsible for:
Accelerate adoption of our ETF range across working closely with sales teams across the region and in partnership with local capital markets partners, whilst ensuring full visibility of key global trends and best practices for local application and improving client outcomes.
Expand and strengthen the ETF ecosystem, developing deep relationships with APs, liquidity providers, exchanges, regulators, and institutional clients.
Serve as a key subject matter expert, on ETF trading and liquidity. Articulate in-depth the differences in liquidity ecosystems across different jurisdictions and advise on different best practices within regions.
Deepen client engagement, delivering actionable trading insights and partnering with Client Coverage to drive adoption of our ETF range.
Support ETF launches and lifecycle management, collaborating across investment, product, and distribution teams to ensure flawless execution and ongoing support.
Elevate the client experience, guiding clients through market structure, liquidity, and execution to drive meaningful trading outcomes.
Working in partnership with key stakeholder groups across Sales, Strategy, Marketing, Investment Management and Capital Markets
Deliver market and flow analysis, translating trends into insights and commercial opportunities.
ETF Advocacy: Strong market structure advocacy and focus on key trends across ETF trading best practices, reporting investor perspective

Education & Preferred Qualifications/Skills
8years+ years of industry experience with well-developed technical knowledge of ETFs, Liquidity and Investments, particularly for a sophisticated, institutional investor audience.
Deep understanding of financial markets, portfolio construction, liquidity, understanding of derivatives markets and insights into trading of ETFs, asset owning institutions and the investment management industry.
Deep understanding of ETF, Equity and Fixed Income Market Structure
Ability to successfully operate in a matrixed environment with proven ability to work with teams across different geographies
Excellent communications skills, with ability to educate and break down complex ideas into simplified take-aways.
Strong project management and organizational skills including the ability to manage multiple projects, changing priorities and key partners at the same time
Experience working with globally diverse teams and audiences
Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, Finance, Communications, Marketing or equivalent is preferable
