We are seeking an experienced Estimator with a strong ability to analyze technical documents such as drawings, routers, and parts lists. The role involves verification of existing inventory and current quotes, obtaining quotes from customers and vendors, and analyzing engineering and production data. Expert knowledge of manufacturing or machining processes is essential. The candidate will determine the priority of RFQs and maintain relationships with stakeholders. Proficiency in CATIA or other industry-standard modeling software for drafting purposes is required.
ResponsibilitiesAnalyze drawings, routers, parts lists, and other technical documents.Verify existing inventory and current quotes using computer systems.Obtain and analyze quotes from customers and vendors.Analyze engineering and production data.Utilize expert knowledge of manufacturing or machining processes.Determine the priority of RFQs.Maintain working relationships with stakeholders.Use CATIA or other industry-standard modeling software for drafting purposes.Act as a purchasing agent on behalf of the supply chain when necessary.Maintain records of previous quotes and win/loss records.Work with the Contract Specialist to ensure accuracy and validity of contracts and purchase orders.Possess the authority to stop any production order for quality concerns.Perform other similar or related duties as necessary.Essential Skills5+ years of experience in manufacturing estimation, preferably in aviation.5+ years of experience in customer relationship management.5+ years of experience in producing quotes and logistics.Proficiency in CATIA and Mastercam.Basic knowledge of manufacturing and/or machining processes.Ability to communicate effectively and possess basic computer skills.Ability to travel as required.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience in working with Contract Specialists.Experience in maintaining records and using industry-standard software for drafting.Work EnvironmentThe position involves working in both office and shop environments. In the office, the candidate will work on the phone and computer with clients, while also verifying products and quotes in shop and engineering areas. The role requires setting an example by wearing eye and hearing protection when needed and maintaining an organized and clean work area. The candidate should be adaptable to both environments, ensuring that work aligns with company profit lines.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $35.00 - $42.00/hr.
