**Job Title: Earthwork and Paving Project Estimator** Job Description As an Estimator, you will prepare accurate take-offs and estimates for all site work, including earthwork, asphalt paving, and concrete. You will communicate with clients to ensure their needs are addressed by preparing scopes of work, pricing, and proposals. Your role will involve ensuring pre-construction and construction phases exceed client expectations, including managing submittals, permits, RFI's, and project close-out documents. Responsibilities + Prepare and deliver accurate estimates for site work projects including earthwork, asphalt paving, and concrete. + Communicate effectively with clients to address their needs and ensure satisfaction. + Prepare scopes of work, pricing, and proposals. + Ensure timely dispatch of proposals and effectively close leads. + Meet with clients on job sites to uphold quality and satisfaction. + Coordinate with operations to implement any necessary improvements. + Familiarize with architectural specifications and construction design elements focused on site work. + Inspect, scope, photograph, and estimate project requirements. + Maintain acceptable profit margins and collaborate with operations to analyze and improve. + Solicit project documents and information. + Follow up on outstanding RFP's and estimates for clients. + Provide leadership to achieve maximum profitability and growth in line with company goals. + Continuously analyze processes to enhance success and establish a reporting framework with management. + Strive for the highest levels of customer satisfaction in all interactions. Essential Skills + Experience in earthwork, asphalt, and concrete estimating. + At least 3 years of experience in estimating within the construction industry (concrete/paving). + High communication and interpersonal skills. + Proficiency in Microsoft Office; Bluebeam experience preferred. + Ability to read and interpret construction plans. + Clean driving record. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Project management experience. + Experience with preconstruction and pricing strategies. Why Work Here? Work Environment This role is based in a construction environment, where you will engage with various site work projects and collaborate closely with clients and operations teams. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Kingsburg, California. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
