Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Aerospace Estimator/Planner to join our team. This position primarily involves estimating manufacturing costs to prepare customer quotes, while also cross-training for manufacturing planning functions as needed.

ResponsibilitiesUse customer-supplied data including drawings, part lists, and specifications to generate estimated costs for assemblies.Break down bills of materials for material, labor, and finish process estimates.Consult with customers, vendors, and internal personnel to formulate cost estimates.Meet deadlines and document processes efficiently.Prepare and format quotes for submission to customers.Conduct time studies to improve efficiency.Create manufacturing plans using an MRP system.Essential SkillsFive years of experience as an estimator planner in the machining aerospace assembly industry.Experience in milling, turning, and assembly of aerospace parts.Ability to understand drawings, parts, and specifications.Strong attention to detail.Ability to prioritize and manage time effectively.Proficiency in Excel.Experience with MRP systems.Additional Skills & QualificationsAbility to communicate effectively via phone, email, and in person with customers and outside vendors.Strong project management skills.Knowledge of ERP and production planning.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

The role is based in a professional office environment, with occasional visits to the metal shop where PPE and safety glasses are required.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $84000.00 - $110000.00/yr.
